Circus Tuomento is a documentary about Finland\u2019s most famous tightrope\nwalker, Antti Tuomento (b.1968). After the tragic break of his circus career,\nhe focuses on building his own city. About a dozen fascinating, organic\nbuildings have been made in the garden. The city with its museum, church\nand theater can be seen as try out to take fate into his own hands - and to\nbuild an entire alternative world.<\/p>\n

The second narrator of the film, Antti\u2019s father, novel writer Matti Tuomento\n(1933-2016), lived in the crosswalk of a failed artisthood, disgusting\nfatherhood and his own childhood trauma. He poured his own childhood\ntrauma and artistic collapse over his family. Trauma, which has moved from\none generation to the next, has turned now into Antti\u2019s fascinating city. It is\none of the most important art environments in our country. Antti has\ndeclared the city of Pelimannim\u00e4ki as an independent kingdom.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n
