Step into a unique experience where magic, object theatre, and mentalism intertwine! Une séance peu ordinaire is a peculiar and captivating encounter. Jani Nuutinen takes us back to a time when the human mind and science could not yet explain everything we saw and felt — to a moment when we experienced something truly inexplicable. A moment where truth and lies, reality and imagination, chance and fate blend together, blurring the boundaries of our understanding.

Jani Nuutinen, who resides in France, is one of the founders of Circo Aereo, Finland's oldest contemporary circus company, established in 1996. An award-winning and internationally acclaimed artist, he combines juggling, magic, and object manipulation in his works.

The performances are part of the Flow Circus series organized by Flow Productions.

CIRCO AEREO

In 1996, I co-founded Circo Aereo with Maksim Komaro, the first contemporary circus company in Finland. Since 2002, the company has also been based in France, where I have served as artistic director. Circo Aereo has played a key role in building the international reputation of Finnish contemporary circus:

we have created over 70 productions in Finland and France, which have been performed in around 40 countries across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

I graduated from the Centre National des Arts du Cirque in France in 2001, after which I have developed a minimalist and personal approach to circus, combining juggling, magic, and object manipulation. Circo Aereo is particularly known for continuing to work in circus tents surrounded by the audience and in other unconventional spaces.

Over the past decades, I have developed my own artistic expression, known in France as Cirque d’Objets.
